Position Overview
TheSenior Producer supports the Company’s artistic vision with strong producing skills to generate and deliverthe Company’s repertoire of world-class work at a national and international level. 2023 will see the Company tour Australia, including a major season at Sydney WorldPride Arts festival, and a European tour in mid-2023. It will also the see the creative development of our next major dance work. Directly reporting to our Artistic Director, the Senior Producer is supported by a Project Co-ordinator/Tour Manager, Bookkeeper, Graphic Designer and Production Manager (when in creation/touring mode), all of which report directly to the Senior Producer.

Work with a creative arts organisation with established infrastructure and support including already-secured medium term funding, a diverse, experienced and supportive Board committed to agility, pace, practicality and innovation.
Flexible working arrangement including full-time and/or 0.8 wk at our stunning new office at the Joynton Avenue Creative Centre (5 min walk Green Square station).
Remote/work from home arrangements can be negotiated as needed.
Collaborate with and get exposure to national and international networks, with regular international trips for touring, to arts markets, or like forums.
Key responsibilities
Producing:
Identify, develop, negotiate and produce Shaun Parker’s artistic worksand tours (national and international).
Manage contract preparation, negotiation and execution associated with delivering the artistic works.
Develop and implement the Company’s national and international market development strategy in consultation with the Artistic Director.
Manage project budgets for artistic works and tours.
Stakeholder and Public Relations:
Build and maintain relationships with presenters, stakeholders, partners and collaborators; cultivate and maintain relationships with national and international venues, agencies and festivals.
Maintain and build advantageous relationships with other organisations to enable partnerships that help meet and/or enhance the Company’s objectives.
Represent the Company at domestic and international Arts Markets, industry events and presentations as required.
Key Selection Criteria
The SeniorProducer should possess:
Extensive experience inproducing and touring performing arts productions, nationally and internationally, and a network of relevant contacts both in Australia and overseas.
Expertise in project budgeting and financial management.
Expertise in negotiating contracts with artists, festivalsand venue management.
Strong understanding of the technical aspects of theatrical productions.
Experience in developing marketing and publicity strategies and in briefing consultants.
Proven ability to identify and negotiate program funding opportunities in both government and private sectors, including strong project grant application writing skills.
Experience working collaboratively, in a fast paced,agile and small team environment.
A high level of autonomy, personal integrity and demonstrated good judgement alongside a positive, vibrant producingstyle.
Date of commencement: Nov/Dec 2022Flexible – In consultation with successful applicant.
Salary range: $80,000 – $90,000 (dependant on experience) + superannuation
