Purpose
Shaun Parker & Company is committed to fostering a culture of inclusivity, equity, and respect for all individuals. We recognize and celebrate the diverse identities of our artists, staff, and audiences, and are dedicated to ensuring that LGBTQIA+ individuals feel welcome, valued, and supported in every aspect of our work.
Scope
This policy applies to all employees, contractors, board members, artists, volunteers, collaborators, and audiences engaged with Shaun Parker & Company.

- Providing ongoing training and resources to staff and collaborators on LGBTQIA+ issues, rights, and allyship.
- Encouraging open dialogue and learning to challenge biases and promote understanding.
- Access and Participation
- Designing programs, events, and performances that are inclusive of and accessible to LGBTQIA+ individuals and communities.
- Incorporating gender-neutral language and facilities in all our operations and public engagements.
- Accountability and Feedback
- Establishing mechanisms to report and address concerns related to discrimination or exclusion.
- Regularly reviewing and updating policies to reflect evolving best practices and community feedback.
Strategic Alignment
This policy aligns with Shaun Parker & Company’s 2025-2028 Strategic Plan, particularly our focus on social inclusion, cultural diversity, and community engagement. By championing LGBTQIA+ inclusion, we contribute to our broader mission of fostering connection, innovation, and social impact through dance and the performing arts.
Implementation
Shaun Parker & Company will:
- Include LGBTQIA+ perspectives in strategic and artistic planning processes.
- Partner with LGBTQIA+ organisations to co-design programs and initiatives that amplify voices from the community.
- Continue its Queer Bites Mentorship Program
- Ensure LGBTQIA+ representation on the Board
Review and Reporting
This policy will be reviewed annually by the Board and management team to ensure its effectiveness. Feedback from stakeholders, including LGBTQIA+ employees and collaborators, will inform updates and improvements.
