AUDITION NOTICE – SYDNEY BASED DANCERS

Shaun Parker & Company is one of Australia’s most innovative, authentic, and adaptive contemporary dance companies with a dedicated reputation for performing a variety of exceptional works across NSW, Australia and internationally, having toured to 25 countries over the past 15 years. Shaun Parker & Company works are accessible, entertaining and renowned for having strong dramaturgical rigour, physically driven narratives, mesmerising choreography and stunning musical scores. Shaun Parker is a recognised leader, innovator and mentor in the industry, with a proud history of employing dancers from diverse backgrounds and providing outstanding professional skills development opportunities.

 

Shaun Parker & Company are seeking experienced, versatile and professional Sydney-based dancers with strong skills in contemporary dance, street dance styles, physical theatre, improvisation and performance skills. We are seeking dancers to join the company for new works in development and multiple projects in the coming years.

In your application, please confirm that you are a Sydney-based dancer and are fully available for the following rehearsal dates:

• 27 October – 29 November 2025 (5 weeks)
• 15-19 December 2025 (1 week)
• 5-31 January 2026 (4 weeks)

 

AUDITION TIMES:

Friday August 1^st from 1:30pm-4:30pm

Sunday August 3^rd from 11am-2pm

*Please choose your video footage carefully so that you are clearly identifiable, as well as showing a range of your dance and performance skills as this will inform your acceptance into the audition.

If you have auditioned for the Company before, still please do apply again, as our Artistic Director would like to see your development.

 

Audition is by application only. Shaun Parker & Company will contact you by 7pm on Tuesday 29^th of July 2025, regarding the outcome of your application.  If successful, you will be invited for the “in person” audition.
